Dr. Keyvan Koushan attended the University of Toronto, Canada for his undergraduate and medical school education. He then obtained his ophthalmology residency training at McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada). He subsequently went on to finish a two-year medical/surgical retina fellowship at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. He is a staff ophthalmologist at Toronto Retina Institute and Mt. Sinai Hospital and an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences at the University of Toronto. He is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents and is also an investigator in multiple clinical trials on diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. He is the creator and host of the Retina Channel podcast. His favourite hobbies are reading, playing tennis and skiing with his two daughters and wife.
